Flagship Area Revitalization on Jalan Kemang Selatan XII Nearly Complete

The revitalization progress of flagship area in the fourth quarter on Jalan Kemang Selatan XII, RW 01, Cipete Selatan Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta, has reached 80 percent.

Cipete Selatan Urban Village Head, Supriono, mentioned that the area was previously an abandoned plot overgrown with wild bushes and trees.

"In coordination with residents and local community leaders, we agreed to revitalize the area to enhance its appreance," he said on Friday (11/14).

Supriono explained that the 80-square-meter area was revitalized by seven Orange Troops personnel and transformed into a garden with edible plants and a fish pond.

"We've planted water spinach, chili, and eggplant. For the fish pond, we plan to cultivate high-protein fish such as catfish and tilapia," he shared.

He hopes that once the revitalization is completed by the end of this month, Jalan Kemang Selatan XII will become more beautiful, orderly, and comfortable.

"The harvested vegetables and fish will be distributed to Posyandu cadres to support the nutritional needs of toddlers," he added.

A local resident, Diki, appreciated the revitalization effort by the urban village. He mentioned that the formerly messy and ignored space is now looking cleaner and more pleasant.

"Before the revitalization, we were worried about wild animals in that area. Now it's starting to look tidier, and once it's finished, it will definitely be beautiful," he said.
