Terminal Pulo Gadung Kini Lebih Tertata Apik

The More Organized, Pulo Gadung Terminal Receives Positive Responses

Public transportation users appreciate the Pulo Gadung Terminal in East Jakarta, which has become more organized, orderly, and clean.

Back to being neat and clean

One of the workers who regularly uses Unum transportation, Saiful (35), admits that the terminal's condition is now much better, making it more comfortable and safe.

"I'm very glad that the condition is back to being neat and clean. My suggestion is the lighting must be improve again," he expressed, Tuesday (11/25).

Pulo Gadung Terminal Beautified

Pulo Gadung Terminal Head, Suratman explained the arrangement was done gradually. In 2023, three phases had been completed, starting from the area of the former intercity bus terminal (AKAP) to the enforcement against dozens of illegal buildings used as residences and rentals.

"We also torn down illegal houses standing on the channel that had been normalized before," he explained.

He added, the same action was also spotted on illegal stalls at the exit access of the terminal near the police post, thus the area now looks better and more comfortable.

"So far, 150 trees have been planted in the terminal area by the Urban Parks and City Forest Agency. The types include Avocado, Matoa, Rambutan, Durian, and Mango," he continued.

He added that the facilities and infrastructure of the terminal will keep being improved to provide comfort and safety, especially for public transportation users.

"We have also proposed the need to add CCTV cameras to anticipate any security disturbances here," he stated.
