Ahmad Yani Park Revamped to Enhance Greenery and Public Comfort

East Jakarta City Park and Forestry (Tamhut) Sub-agency is revitalizing Ahmad Yani Park on Jalan Ahmad Yani, RT 10/05, Pisangan Timur Urban Village, Pulo Gadung Sub-district. The approximately 1,500-square-meter park is being redesigned to be more organized, greener, and comfortable for residents.

"The current progress has reached around five percent,"

East Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head, Dwi Ponangsera, said the park revitalization is carried out by a third-party contractor who won the e-Katalog auction. The work started on November 19, 2025, and is scheduled for completion by December 18, according to the contract.

"The current progress has reached around five percent. The revitalization is funded through the 2025 Revised Regional Budget (APBD)," he mentioned on Wednesday (11/26).

East Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency’s Greenbelt and Cemetery Section Head, Made Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita, also noted that the project includes constructing a 94-square-meter exercise area, a mini jogging track, and installing a 116-meter fence around the park.

"In addition, three sets of park lights will be installed. Later, a 5.25-square-meter reflection path will also be built," he shared.

He further explained that the project involves building a 123.29-square-meter pedestrian path and a 5.48-square-meter park name sign. To enhance the park's aesthetics, 536 square meters will be planted with elephant grass.

"Park lighting will also be optimized by installing a new 3,500-volt-ampere electrical connection," he added.

Mulyati (45), a local resident, expressed appreciation to the East Jakarta Tamhut team for revitalizing the park.

"The park is always busy on weekends. I also hope it will be equipped with more children's play facilities," she said.
