30 People with Disabilities Participate in Barista Training at East Jakarta PPKD

As many as 30 people with disabilities participated in barista training at East Jakarta Regional Work Training Center (PPKD) as part of foster independence and improve welfare.

Head of East Jakarta PPKD, Hendarwan, said the training is held based on cooperation with PT PAMA, a private company operating in the mining sector, through corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.

"There are two vocational training programs for people with disabilities this year, namely the Digital Marketing vocational program with 20 participants and now Barista which is attended by 30 participants," he said, Wednesday (11/26).

He added that the East Jakarta PPKD has also collaborated with PT Pertamina and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in pastry bakery training, which was also attended by people with disabilities.

"After the training, all participants will receive a certificate from the East Jakarta PPKD as proof of their expertise or skills," he added.

Meanwhile, a representative of PT PAMA, Meidi, admitted the training cooperation with the East Jakarta PPKD has been run twice.

"Previous barista training was also provided for people with disabilities," she admitted.

She hopes that through this training, people with disabilities will be able to have the abilities and skills that support entrepreneurial development.

The General Chairperson of the Indonesian Creative Disability Foundation, Osmiyati Afarindra Nurifai (54) expressed her appreciation and thanks to the ranks of the East Jakarta PPKD and PT PAMA for holding this training.

"I am very happy and motivated by this kind of training," she admitted.
