Ahead of Christmas and New Year, Buses at Kalideres Terminal Inspected

Jakarta Transportation Agency through the Kedaung Kali Angke Motor Vehicle Testing Service Unit, West Jakarta, is running the pra ramp check for the buses serving Christmas and New Year transportation at Kalideres Bus Terminal.

Head of Kalideres Bus Terminal, Revi Zulkarnaen said this inspection is carried out to ensure that all buses are in good condition and roadworthy to provide safety and comfort for passengers and bus crew.

"The pre-ramp check includes checking the brakes, tires, mirrors, headlights, turn signals, and engine. It also checks supporting equipment such as emergency glass breakers, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, jacks, and more," he said, Thursday (11/27).

He added that the pra ramp check has been running since November 24 and will run during the Christmas and New Year period. The inspection is run everyday by targeting 30 buses.

According to him, the Kalideres Bus Terminal management also provides security posts, health posts, ramp check posts, as well as joint officers from the Transportation Agency, the National Police, and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).

Revi appealed to people who will be traveling to prepare themselves physically so that the trip can proceed safely without any problems.

"We urge the passengers to maintain their health and follow the directions of officers at the terminal," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the bus passengers, Badruzaman, appreciated the inspection because it can provide a sense of security and comfort for transportation service users.

"If possible, this inspections should be carried out routinely, considering that passenger mobility will increase," he hoped.
