Jakarta City Council's Commission E member, Subki also urged all parties to play an active role in protecting children as the nation's future generation. He supported Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung's move to strengthen child protection regulations in the city.
"We can't leave the responsibility to one side only. The government has a responsibility, the police and security forces have a responsibility, and parents also have a responsibility," he stated.
He also invited parents to increase their attention to their children, including by providing assistance during activities and picking them up from school.
"Parents, officials, and the government all have a role to play," he said.
