Khoirudin: Let's Support the Performance of Jakarta City Secretary Uus Kuswanto

Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin, congratulated Uus Kuswanto on his official inauguration as Jakarta City Secretary.

"Today is a historic moment for Mr. Uus. I wish him success in his new responsibility. His task is quite challenging to realize the Jakarta government's vision, including improving the city's global ranking from 74th to 50th. That's a big job," he expressed, Tuesday (12/2).

He invites all elements in the capital city to collaborate in achieving that target. He believes that Uus Kuswanto's extensive experience is an important asset in running the new duties and strengthening the synergy between the executive and legislative branches.

"Hopefully, what was good from the previous City Secretary can be continued. Every leader has their own style, and that is our wealth," he added.

According to him, Uus would not have difficulty adapting as he has previously served as Acting City Secretary, Acting Assistant for Government, and even as mayor.

He also asked him to pay special attention to political and economic stability, including improving the people's purchasing power.

"Unemployment in Jakarta is still very high. People need cheap basic necessities and job opportunities. Those are the main priorities," he continued.

He added, the council will continue to promote collaborative work in solving various issues in the capital.

"There must be collaboration from all parties, including the private sector and all entrepreneurs in Jakarta, working together to find solutions so that unemployment does not lead to a social explosion," he stated.
