"The declaration of these four urban villages marks that North Jakarta has achieved 100 percent of urban villages implementing Stop BABS," he said, Wednesday (12/10).

Murniasih explained that by November 2025, 31 urban villages in North Jakarta had implemented the Stop BABS declaration, consisting of three urban villages with a pure declaration and 28 urban villages with a commitment declaration.

According to him, access to healthy toilets in the region has now reached 97.5 percent or 503,349 families, while the rest are still in the process of building septic tanks, both independently and communally, which is targeted for completion by the end of this year.

"We express our gratitude to the relevant cross-sectors and companies through CSR programs that have supported this program," he added.

Acting North Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Fredy Setiawan appreciated the cooperation of all parties involved in promoting this program. This effort aligns with Jakarta's vision and mission to become a global city with a clean environment.

"Collaboration between local governments, health workers, PKK cadres, community elements and the private sector to create a clean environment and a better quality of life is successful," he stated.

He hopes all parties will continue to monitor and provide support. A healthy environment starts with small, consistent habits, and he also ensures all families have adequate and safe toilets.

Meanwhile, Head of RW 16, Penjaringan Urban Village, Simon Satel (62), said the construction of a communal septic tank and five toilet units in RT 13/16 has greatly helped residents so they no longer defecate in the open.

"I hope our environment will be cleaner and healthier. I've also urged residents to maintain and care for these facilities," he stated.
