Pramono explained that as of November, inflation in Jakarta was at 2.29 percent. However, based on previous years' experience, inflation in December is typically higher, estimated at around 0.4 percent.

"Buffer areas also want to take part in the Discount Competition held by the Jakarta Government," he explained.

Shopping centers participating in the Christmas and New Year discount competition will receive tax incentives. The Jakarta Provincial Government, along with Bank Indonesia, and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), will monitor its implementation.

"We will give it if the discount is then the first winner," he added.

Pramono hopes this step will help control prices, maintain economic growth, and stabilize inflation amidst increasing public needs ahead of Christmas and New Year.

"Hopefully we can control the price, maintain economic growth, and control inflation," he stated.
