South Jakarta Urges Residents to Strengthen Public Order and Safety

A total of 100 participants attending the regular meeting of Society Caring for Public Peace and Order (MPT) held at a hotel in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The event served as a platform for community consolidation and strengthening their role in maintaining public order and safety.

"Collaboration between the government and residents is vital,"

South Jakarta Vice Mayor, Ali Murthadho, expressed appreciation for Satpol PP, which he said has successfully nurtured and empowered residents through MPT. This initiative has increased public awareness in addresssing disruptions to public order (trantibum).

"Guaranteeing security and order, upholding the law, and creating a peaceful environment within the community are indicators that development and governance in South Jakarta are running well," he explained on Monday (12/15).

He hoped the regular meetings would spark innovative and creative solutions among participants to curb public order violations in their neighborhoods.

"I encourage continued community awareness and active participation. Collaboration between the government and residents is vital in realizing a more orderly, safe, and peaceful South Jakarta," he added.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta Satpol PP Head Nanto Subekti mentioned that the 100 participants represented 10 sub-districts in the region.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration between participants and Satpol PP in educating the public about public order and the importance of complying with local regulations.

"MPT plays a strategic role as the extension of Satpol PP at the community level. Together, we hope to build an environment that is orderly, safe, and conducive," he stated.
