Report Your Vacant House to RT/RW, Homecomers

Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department (Dukcapil) urged residents reporting to neighborhood (RT) and community unit (RW) related to the homecoming. It is aimed to anticipate vacant house theft which is rampant during Ied Ul Fitr.

Please report to local RT/RW caretaker for the sake of your house's safety

"Please report to local RT/RW caretaker for the sake of your house's safety," said Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, Edison Sianturi, Monday (7/13).

Aside that, reporting to RT/RW caretaker is truly important to record residents who are returning home and returning back to Jakarta. “The reporting eases us detecting homecomer who are returning back to Jakarta,” he explained.

Residential Patrol Intensified As Anticipation of Empty House Theft

Sianturi added, relayed on the data from City Transportation Department, the number of homecomers this year reached 6,532,403 people which is increasing compared to last year by 5,750,854 people.

“It means 50 percent out of 10.8 million people of Jakarta left the city,” he uttered.
