MRT Jakarta Prepares Special Services for New Year's Eve

PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has implemented a special operational schedule for the 2026 New Year's Eve celebrations.

The Jakarta MRT service operates from 5 AM-11:59 PM on Wednesday (12/31), and until 2 AM, on Thursday (1/1).

Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), Rendy Primartantyo, said that the special operational pattern will only be valid for two days.

"On Friday, January 2, 2026, MRT Jakarta will resume operations with a normal schedule according to applicable regulations, namely 5 AM-11:59 PM," he said, Tuesday (12/30).

Rendy explained that a number of community activities will take place in the Sudirman-Thamrin area on New Year's Eve 2026. Therefore, MRT Jakarta urges customers to plan their trips well, follow the directions of station staff, and monitor the latest information through MRT Jakarta's official communication channels.

In anticipation of a potential surge in passenger numbers, MRT Jakarta has prepared various crowd management measures. These efforts include increasing personnel, providing a stock of travel cards, and optimizing card readers at all stations.

Customers can use various payment methods in paying for MRT Jakarta tickets and services including electronic money cards issued by banks such as e-Money Mandiri, Flazz BCA, BRIZZI BRI, TapCash BNI, and JakCard Bank DKI.

Payments can also be made through the MyMRTJ application using iSaku, AstraPay, blu by BCA, Mastercard credit cards, GoPay, Kredivo, and Yup.

There are also MyMRTJ Lite ticket vending machines that accept payments via QRIS, debit and credit cards, QRIS Tap, and direct ticket purchases at the station counter.

"The public is advised to plan their trips well and use public transportation," he stated.
