292 South Jakarta Satpol PP Personnel Deployed to Guard New Year's Celebrations

As many as 292 South Jakarta Satpol PP are deployed to secure and guard the new year celebrations in the area.

Head of South Jakarta Satpol PP, Nanto Dwi Subekti said those personnel are deployed in a number of locations namely Blok M's Literasi Park, Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, Sudirman, Semanggi, and SCBD.

"We also deploy personnel into a number of celebration spots," he said, Wednesday (12/31).

He explained that the largest number of personnel, 100, is deployed around the Literasi Park area. This deployment is due to the Car-Free Night policy and traffic engineering implemented there.

"Personnel are deployed to reduce the potential for congestion of vehicles and people passing by," he added.

According to him, security will be carried out humanely. However, his team remains focused on following up on public reports regarding disturbances to public order and security.

"Hopefully, the situation will remain conducive until the end. The public is expected to comply with government appeal," he appealed.
