Free Tuberculosis Screening Held in Pademangan Timur

As many as 100 residents of Pademangan Timur Urban Village, Pademangan District, North Jakarta, participated in the free tuberculosis screening and health check held on Jalan Gang, RT 13/10.

The screening activity is the result of collaboration between the Pademangan Timur Urban Village and the Pademangan District Health Center as an effort to detect TB cases early, especially in at-risk community groups, so that treatment and medication can be carried out immediately.

Head of Pademangan Timur Urban Village, Suhardiman said this activity received a positive response from the community. He even participated in health checks and directly monitored the implementation of the activity.

"A total of 100 residents attended the health checkup , demonstrating growing public awareness of the importance of maintaining good health," she said, Wednesday (1/7).

Meanwhile, Head of Pademangan District Community Health Center, Nur Rahmat stated this tuberculosis screening is routiny held in Pademangan District.

"Screening results in RW 10, Pademangan Timur, showed significant results. Of the target of 4,820 residents, 1,406, or approximately 30 percent, have been tested," he stated.

Based on the screening results, Nur continued, 27 TB cases were identified, of which 25 people, or approximately 93 percent, have undergone treatment. Furthermore, contact tracing has been conducted for 19 cases, or 70 percent.

In this screening activity, residents also received various examination services, including sputum examination, general health examination, and IVA examination.

"I hope that public awareness of the importance of regular health checks will continue to increase so that a healthier environment can be created that is free from TB transmission," he hoped.
