Perbaikan Saluran Air di Jalan Pertanian III Rampung

Personnel Wrap Up Storm Drain Upgrade on Jalan Pertanian III

The drainage system revitalization project on Jalan Pertanian III in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, finally completed.

Water flows without obstruction now

Cilandak Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, Yansori said, previously, the channel was undersized, leading to frequent flooding in several areas during heavy downpours.

"The old system lacked the capacity to handle high water volumes, which often resulted in overflows during rain," he expressed, Friday (1/9).

He explained, personnel in Cilandak have successfully overhauled a critical channel corridor, replacing old pipes with high-capacity 40 HD U-Ditch. The project also prioritized pedestrian safety by installing reinforced concrete manhole covers throughout the 170-meter project site.

The initiative, which used a dedicated 10-personnel over the last four months, aims to future-proof the neighborhood against heavy rain. By significantly boosting the system's volume capacity, officials hope to see an end to the chronic flooding that has plagued local traffic.

"We want to make sure that residents can go about their day without the threat of high water blocking their commute," he hoped.

The work above received appreciation from one of the locals, Sulistyo.

"Water flows without obstruction now that the infrastructure is sufficient. It was a high-quality job done quickly," he admitted.
