Jalan HR Rasuna Said Set for Revamp Alongside Monorail Pillar Removal

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government has allocated a budget of Rp100 billion for the project to dismantle the abandoned monorail pillars as well as to repair the roads along Jalan HR Rasuna Said.

"...not just for dismantling, but also for constructing roads, sidewalks, tidying up, and so on,"

He explained that the budget is not only for dismantling the monorail pillars but also for the overall area redevelopment, including building sidewalks and roads.

"The Rp100 billion spent is not just for dismantling, but also for constructing roads, sidewalks, tidying up, and so on. The total cost to improve Jalan Rasuna Said is Rp100 billion," he shared at Karet Bivak Public Cemetery, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (1/11).

According to him, the technical costs for dismantling the monorail pillars themselves will not require a large amount of money.

"So it's not just dismantling; the dismantling itself is quite small," he added.

The dismantling of the monorail pillars is scheduled to begin next week. Pramono plans to invite former Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso to the monorail pillar dismantling event.

"Therefore, next week I will invite Bang Yos to be present so that we can clean the monorail pillars and tidy up the road," he asserted.
