Tanah Abang Blue Troops Ready to Deal with Flooding

Tanah Abang District's Water Resources Unit, Central Jakarta, Monday (1/12), deployed 18 blue troops to several prone to inundation locations.

Head of Tanah Abang District's Water Resource Unit, Eli Menawan Sari, explained locations prone to inundation are Jl KH Mas Mansyur, in front of Karet Bivak Cemetery, Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Barat 5, Jl Kebon Jati Blok G and Gang Al Habsyi.

Five Pumps Operated at Kebon Raya to Tackle Flooding on Jl Patra

"The rain that has been pouring since morning has not caused puddles on several roads," she explained.

She added that six personnel were deployed to Jalan KH Mas Mansyur Melati Urban Village, in front of Karet Bivak Cemetery Bendungan Hilir Urban Village dan Gang Al Habsyi Kebon Kacang Urban Village.

Then two personnel were deployed to check the water gate and drainage along Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Barat 5. The other two personnel were sent to clean drainage along Jalan Kebon Jati Block G Kampung Bali Urban Village.

About four personnel were also deployed to clean drainage on Jalan Bendungan Hilir in front of Mintoharjo Hospital and to check the pump house.

Next, two blue troop personnel were also deployed to clean drainage along Jalan Subroto, Gelora Urban Village.

"Optimally functioning water channels and lines keep the area safe from flooding. All stationary pumps are also in prime condition and ready to operate when needed," she stated.
