Inundation Survivors in Cilandak Timur Receive Assistance

South Jakarta Social Sub-agency distributed basic assistance to the inundation survivors in Cilandak Timur Urban Village, Pasar Minggu District.

Head of South Jakarta Social Sub-agency, Bernard Tambunan said this assistance was provided after the urban village submitted an application based on requests from local residents.

Inundation on Jalan Raya Bogor Recedes Gradually

"Seeing the rain that has been going on for quite a long time since last night, we immediately coordinated with the ranks to prepare for assistance in handling the flooding, both during and after the flooding," he said, Monday (1/12).

The assistance given to residents, especially on Jalan NIS RW 03 and RW 09, includes five sacks of five kilograms of rice, six packs of two liters of cooking oil, six bottles of soy sauce, six cans of biscuits, 30 cans of sardines, and 10 towels.

Then, five boxes of instant noodles, 30 pieces of women's and men's clothing, 50 packages of toiletries, 70 packages of cleaning supplies, 20 sets of men's and women's Muslim clothing, and 50 pieces of men's and women's underwear.

"We also provided 10 mattresses for sleeping, 10 bags of kidsware, and 10 bags of family kits. As a government agency, we are here to help residents," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Cilandak Timur Urban Village, Mila Herawati stated her rank has not received any requests for ready-to-eat food aid from residents until now. This is because no residents have been evacuated and most are still able to carry out their normal activities.

"We will certainly continue to coordinate this with the relevant agencies. We will distribute existing aid according to data on residents in need," she admitted.
