Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung visited flood-affected residents at the evacuation post at Jami Baitul Rahman Mosque on Jalan Dharma Wanita IV, RW 01, Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Saturday (1/24).

"...the condition of residents at the evacuation post is good and they are in go od health,"

Besides meeting with residents, Pramono distributed logistical aid such as rice, instant noodles, foldable mattresses, mats, blankets, family kits, children's clothing, and warming oil.

"This assistance is urgently needed by the 44 families, or 177 people, taking shelter here. Alhamdulillah, the condition of residents at the evacuation post is good and they are in good health," Pramono said.

He also expressed gratitude that the evacuees have received medical services from Cengkareng Health Center.

"They have acknowledged that health services are being adequately provided," he added.

Pramono highlighted that he had instructed the Water Resources Agency to deploy additional water pumps in response to residents' concerns in Rawa Buaya.

"As of today, seven mobile pumps are operating to drain floodwater in Rawa Buaya," he said.

Pramono explained that flooding in West Jakarta was triggered by overflow from upstream areas in Bogor and Tangerang, which flowed into the Angke, Pesanggrahan, and Mookervart Rivers before entering the Cengkareng Drain.

According to him, the water level has dropped from 350 to 315 centimeters, while the safe threshold is 310 centimeters.

"I am pushing to reach that level so the inundated areas can fully recede, including on Jalan Daan Mogot, which is now only remaining at kilometer 13. Meanwhile, the Pesing Flyover is already passable for motor vehicles," he said.
