Due to the construction of concrete sheet pile along Utan Kayu River, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, makes Jembatan Serong Park which is located beside the river become narrower. 

By widening the road we hope it could anticipate traffic congestion

Due to this matter, Cempaka Putih Sub-District Head, Lola Lovita proposes the park to be converted as public road. It is hoped, by widening the road , traffic flow from Jalan Percetakan Negara towards Jalan Rawasari Barat could be smoother. 

"Verbally, we have proposed it to Central Jakarta Parks and Cemetry Sub-Department, by widening the road we hope it could anticipate traffic congestion," she hoped, Monday (7/20). 

Moreover this time, according to her, the park looks unmaintained. It is also used by People with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) to take a rest. 

"It would be more useful, because it's little unsuitable if it's used as a park. Besides, the land is also narrow and located at the edge of the road which is crowded by vehicles," she uttered.
