Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama hopes there is no dropped out kids in Capital. Even more he planned to invite 489 thousands Jakarta Smart Card recipients to shop school equipment at the book fair.

“On the day of National Children Day, I wish no children in Jakarta who aren’t school. We wanna bring them to shop and buy school equipment at the book fair,” he said at City Hall, Thursday (7/23).

The former Regent of East Belitung admitted presently he is trying to figure out how to transport those 489 Jak-Smart Card recipients to book fair. Through the card, they will get special offer and discount from the publisher.

“So they will get discount when shopping school equipment at book fair. So that’s why I think hard about how to transport them,” he uttered.

On this special occasion, Ahok hoped whole children in Capital are no longer behind in terms of education. Therefore, for parents who have financial struggle to immediately report to be taken care of it.

Besides that, he also hoped to add more Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), thus there is a space for them to learn and play.

“Secondly, we want to add more public space. As during so far its taking so long time to mapping it,” he disclosed.
