140 School Buses in Jakarta Re-operated

On Monday (7/27), as many as 140 school buses are back in operation again to serve 23 routes in five municipalities. These school bus are divided into 2 types; 45 medium-sized buses as zoning or feeder with 8 routes and 95 big-sized buses with 15 routes.
Jakarta Transportation Department Head, Andri Yansah said the school bus is still much required to transport students.

In its operational, the School Bus Technical Management Unit (UPT) was targeted by Jakarta Governor to transport 35,000 students per day. Currently, they can only transport 16,000 students per day. To meet the target, the socialization will be conducted intensively. Not only door to door, but it would also involve urban village and sub-district apparatus.
As for the information, as many as 95 big-sized buses to serve 15 routes with two sections, as follow:

- From Kampung Melayu - TMII – Ceger
6. Route 6
- From Pasar Minggu - Buncit - Kebayoran PTIK
7. Route 7
- From Pasar Minggu - Ranco - Lenteng Agung - Universitas Indonesia.
8. Route 8
- From Pasar Minggu - Pancoran – Manggarai
9. Route 9
- From Cawang – Plumpang
10. Route 10
- From Cilincing - Plumpang - Perintis Kemerdekaan
11. Route 11
- From Kampung Melayu - Lapangan Banteng
12. Route 12
- From Blok M - Ciledug
13. Route 13
- From Terminal Kalideres - Gajah Mada
14. Route 14
- From Pulogadung - Pondok Bambu - Cawang
15. Route 15
- From Blok M - Pondok Labu.
While for the 45 medium-sized bus will operate from Pondok Gede - Halim - Condet - Ranco. Then, Kampung Melayu - Rawamangun, Kalideres-Kamal, Kalideres - Semanan - Duri Kosambi, Pulogadung - Mardani - Paseban, Cawang - Pejaten - Ragunan, Rawamangun - Cikini - Lapangan Banteng and Lubang Buaya - Dukuh - Kampung Rambutan - Ranco.
