Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) will remove free school bus in capital because it is considered wasting budget. As replacement, students could ride Transjakarta bus for free.

"Next year, I will remove school bus if Transjakarta bus fleet sufficient. The student could ride Transjakarta bus for free, they only need to tap their card," told Basuki in City Hall, yesterday.
Later, the students only need to show Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) to ride Transjakarta bus for free. Moreover, Jakarta Provincial Government will keep giving aid trough Public Service Obligation (PSO) and give big amount of subsidy fund to PT Transjakarta.
As information, the school buses available today are 174 units. From that number, only 114 units operating with details, 45 units of small buses and 69 units of big buses, and 60 buses are damaged.
