Schools Must Be Free from Violence, Agency Says

To celebrate National Children's Day on July 23, 2015 and  welcoming 2015/2016 New School Academic Year, Jakarta Education Department (Disdik) Campaign to stop violence in schools.

Once again, I ask all violence to be stopped in school since today

Jakarta Education Department Head, Arie Budhiman said, Jakarta Provincial Government determined to develop orderly culture in schools. Because of that, Budhiman instructed all of school community including headmaster, homeroom teacher, teacher, student, and school's student organizations (OSIS) administrator, parent, and alumnus to cooperate together to stop any form of violence in school.

This instruction not only applies during New Students Orientation (MOPDB), but should be applied along year-round education in all schools from Elementary, Junior High, Senior High, and Vocational High School in Jakarta.

School Bus Still Enthused by Students

"Once again, I ask all violence to be stopped in school since today," told the former of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department while visited SMA Negeri 3 Setiabudi, South Jakarta, Monday (7/27).

Budiman ensured, Jakarta Education Department will give firm sanction for senior students who still commit violence act whether verbal, visual, and physical. The offender will be returned to their parents and will not be able to enter all state school in Jakarta, while the principal or teachers who negligent will be fired from their position.

"I also requested cooperation from parents to oversee and accompany their children during the learning process in schools," he stated.
