Independence Day, Public Facilities in N. Jakarta Beautified

North Jakarta Administration continues to beautify city infrastructures intensively, especially patching up potholes and smoothing the sidewalks. It is conducted because the 70th Independence Day of Indonesia is getting closer.

It is compliance with Mr. Vice Governor’s mandate who hopes North Jakarta could be more beautiful in welcoming the Independence Day

“ It is compliance with Mr. Vice Governor’s mandate who hopes North Jakarta could be more beautiful in welcoming the Independence Day ,” said Arif Faizal Ritonga, Section Head of Road and Bridge Maintenance for North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department, Thursday (7/30).

Ritonga uttered, according to sweeping result, the damaged sidewalks are detected on Jalan Yos Sudarso, Jalan Gaya Motor and east side of Artha Gading until Cempaka Putih. While on Jalan Gunung Sahari, its damage is mostly located on the west side, precisely in Ciliwung Lama Riverbank in opposite of WTC Mangga Dua.

He assessed the cause of damaged sidewalk is the utility and dredging work of Sunter and Cakung Lama Rivers. Hence, the sidewalk reparation has been done since early of last July.

“As for the damaged sidewalk on the west side of Jalan Yos Sudarso nearby the District Military Command (Kodim), already repaired. The next reparation will be focused on east side,” he expressed.

He went on the say that such reparation is through self-management budget by using per spot system.
