Ahead of 70th Independence Day, Jakarta Vice Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat instructed all urban village and sub-district heads to decorate their area and repair all public facilities such as damaged sidewalks and fences around park.

According to him, the urban planning should be changed immediately. Considering East Jakarta has a larger land and there must be a priority handling, especially on sidewalks alongside protocol road.

Responding on that matter, East Jakarta Mayor Bambang Musyawardhana said the instruction will be followed up on Tuesday (7/28). The whole apparatus in his area will be deployed to decorate their own area. He admitted, this activity will be easy because same as when there will be Adipura valuation.
