“The construction is slated to begin next year. Currently, we’re still looking for lands for type D hospital construction,” said Head of East Jakarta Health Sub-Department, Iwan Kurniawan, Thursday (7/30).

According to Kurniawan, the construction will not change any status of sub-district community health center (puskesmas). Thus, later on, all each sub-districts would have puskesmas and type D hospital.

He furthered to transform the sub-district puskesmas into type D hospital is more complicated rather than build type D hospital.

“That's why, we decided to build the type D hospital,” he expressed.

To realize it, his side is currently coordinating with sub-district and urban village parties to conduct data collection towards government lands which can be diverted to be built a hospital.

"Insya Allah, in 2016, the hospital will be built if the land is ready. Mr. Governor's target was in 2017, every sub-district have type D hospital,” he uttered.
