Beautified Kopaja & Metro Mini, City Launches 60 Buses

City Administration will get an additional 60 buses this year. Dozens of
buses are a part of public transportation revitalization program in capital
to rejuvenate old-fleet of metromini, kopajam and kopami.
The bigger bus we provided, the more passenger capacity can be transported
Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama acknowedged that City
Administration will paid the operator party who purchase the bus with rupiah

Hino and assembled in Indonesia.
“Hino parties is ready to go, around 60 units for this year. In the
next year the chasis gas component would be built. They able to produce 2,000
units per year, this is what we expect more,” he said, Friday (7/31) evening.
However, the bus spesification is much like with the existing of Transjakarta
single bus. He is no longer want any existing kopaja, kopami and
metromini.
“The bigger bus we provided, the more passenger capacity can be
transported,” he uttered.
In addition, around 40-50 percent of the component used to assemble the bus
is from local component. Whereas Hino specification has high standard and the
factory is already exist in Indonesia, which the body of the bus is made in Ungaran,
Central Java.
