As much as 1,000 participants are joining in a mass communal work or known as operasi semut at Ancol Train Station, North Jakarta, in North Jakarta, Sunday (8/2) morning.

After being released by North Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Wahyu Haryadi, the participants immediately did a sweeping from the Goyang Pademangan Timur Bridge towards Ancol Urban Village until Pademangan Barat and ended in Gunung Sahari.

" I really appreciate this event. It is introducing us that cleanliness is very important in our daily life ," told Wahyu Haryadi.

Haryadi hoped the event is not merely ceremonial. Even he also instructed all urban village and sub-district ranks to routinely pay attention to cleanliness factor.

"This cleanliness event is held to realize New Jakarta, how we can manage the city and how create a culture of cleanliness. From now, let us realize the trash-free Jakarta," he uttered.
