Djarot Appealed Citizens Conserving Communal Work to Build Mosque

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat appealed citizens to conserve communal work culture when building mosque. It aims to minimize chance of development committee asking for donations on the road.

"I'm concerned with people who ask for donations on the road to build a mosque. Whereas Rasulullah never educate us for begging," said Djarot after taking Friday prayer along with citizens in Al Barkah Mosque on Jalan Haji Saikin, South Jakarta, Friday(5/8).
According to him, he has instructed
all Jakarta Government officials to accompany citizens, especially when Friday prayer. He has also instructed his staffs for observing all corners of village in the city to find mosques which are still in construction step. Djarot: Jakarta Could Become a Fashion Center In Asia"Thus we know if there is the obligation to help each other renovating worship place," he explained.
In this occasion, Djarot gave aid 2 boxes of Al-Qur'an. Besides that, there is renovation budget to help the process of Al-Barkah mosque construction which has land area about 1,800 square meters with two story.
