Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) approved a proposal of installation of the closed circuit television (CCTV) in the shopping center
.Later on, all offices will have CCTV
CCTV installation was previously proposed by Jakarta City Police to be integrated with control center in facilitating surveillance, especially in fire or crime.
"We had discussed it with Jakarta City Police Head. Later on, all offices will have CCTV," told Ahok in City Hall, Thursday (8/6).

"The control center will be connected to our fiber optic in urban village and also the public security and then monitored by officers (Kamtibmas)," he uttered.
He mentions there are thousands of CCTVs in Jakarta, including those owned by private. He even requires every provider to install 6,000 CCTVs. In 2016, its number could reach 10,000 units.
As for the information, Chief of Jakarta City Police, Sr. Comr. Tito Karnavian requested the governor to issue regulation about CCTV installation inside the room. According to him, there should be a standard CCTV in the office and in the building.
