Good News, KJP Recipient Can Ride Transjakarta Bus For Free

Jakarta Provincial Government is providing additional facility for the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) recipients. A total of 489,150 students are allowed to ride Transjakarta bus for free.  

They won't get the service if they come late to school

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) said to enjoy this free service, the student required to meet several requirements. They are by showing KJP card to Transjakarta officer and only use the service during school hours 

" They won't get the service if they come late to school ," he stated, at City Hall, Thursday (8/13). 

97.5 Percent of KJP Usage Been Appropriate

Especially for the students who go to school at noon, he furthered, the Transjakarta officer will register them first, and then reported to Jakarta Education Department to prevent manipulation.

"If the students lie, we will be sanctioned," told Ahok.

At the first phase, all students do not need to tap the KJP card in the bus stop, because its machine has not been provided. But it will be done by the officer in the bus stop until the system is improved by Bank DKI.

Bank DKI Director, Kresno Sediarsi added, the KJP integration system in Transjakarta will be implemented on upcoming December.

"We also need to discuss it with PT Transjakarta because there some points which need to be passed," he finished.
