PPSU Ceremony Enlivened by Firefighter Music Corps

Massive ceremony of Infrastructure and Public Facilites Handling (PPSU) freelancer led by Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) at Monas, Central Jakarta, Saturday (8/15), enlivened by a performance of Jakarta Fire Management and Rescue Music Corps.

This music corps is the only one owned by Jakarta Provincial Government

Music corps consisting of 40 firefighters continue to raise the spirit of PPSU freelancers through patriotic and folk songs.

"This music corps is the only one owned by Jakarta Provincial Government," said Section Head of Empowerment and Public Participation for Jakarta Fire Management and Rescue Department, Abdul Chair.

Area Outside of Proclamation Monument Cleaned

As planned before, the music corps would participate in the celebration of 70th Independence Day which will staged at Proclamation Monument.

According to Chair, compared with other music corps, such music corps is the oldest one in Indonesia. Various events have been participated, starting from such as events held by Jakarta government, state event until international event like as 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta, 2012 Sea Games in Jakarta, etc.

"Initially, the corps was only formed as a hobby, yet it finally becomes a musical corps which used to raise spirit to firefighters," he explained.
