City to Socialize Betawi Culture Preservation Bylaw

After being legitimated by Jakarta Legislative Council, currently the bylaw of Betawi Culture preservation is handed over to Home Ministry (Kemendagri) to be corrected. Afterwards, Jakarta Provincial Government will immediately conduct socialization.

Head of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department, Purba Hutapea stated that prior to socialize the bylaw, his side awaits for the correction of Kemendagri. His side will also follow up the bylaw with the Gubernatorial Regulations.
"We await all process on Kemendagri," he expressed, Tuesday (8/18).
Mass Organization Asked to Participate Preserving Betawian CultureAccording to Hutapea, the responsibility and obligation to follow up the bylaw is also applied for other regional working units such as Dept. of Education.
“We all should participate it, private parties and citizens,” he disclosed.
