JP 37 and 38 Guidance Street Vendors in Poncol Market will Be Arranged

Hundreds of traders in JP 37 and 38 of street vendors coaching shelter, Poncol Market, Bungur Urban Village, Senen Sub-district, Central Jakarta will be relocated. Their goods along the street has made Jalan Kalibaru Timur is difficult to be passed.

First stage is controlling the vendors in order to ease us arranging them

"First stage is controlling the vendors in order to ease us arranging them," said Bangun Richard, Central Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Cooperative, Micro, Small, Middle Enterprise and Trade, Tuesday (8/18).

According to him, the arrangement needs to be done since the traders put their goods on the roadside, while they already have a 4 meter square kiosk. "They're off from the kiosk," he added.

Designation of Kemang and Antasari will Be Re-arranged

The condition is also worsened by street vendors and illegal parking on Jalan Kalibaru Timur. Previously, Mikrolet M 35 serving Senen-Kampung Melayu passed that street. "Now the road is difficult to be passed by car. Socialization about this plan will be held in Senen Sub-district Office. We'll invite them," he expressed.

One of JP 37 and JP 38 Poncol Market caretaker, Slamet (49), denied that the traders caused traffic jam around the area. "The illegal street vendors caused the traffic. We're are coached traders who already giving local revenue to government since 1980's," he exclaimed.

He thought that the road will function normally if the illegal street vendors is controlled.
