Jakarta Dept. of Tax Service signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jakarta Prosecutor's Office (Kejati), Wednesday (8/19). It aims to escalate the official's performance and boost the tax revenue.

According to him, the cooperation is made to meet the local tax potency especially the land and building tax which already creates debt. It can be shown from the Notification of Tax Due (SPPT) which is published when the taxpayer in arrears.
City Keeps Pushing Tax RevenueThe land and building tax arrears devolution from General Directorate of Tax to Jakarta Provincial Government in 2012 reached Rp 3.8 trillion. The number grew up to Rp 4.9 trillion in December 2014 from 733 thousand taxpayers in arrears of 1,900,000 SPPT holders.
"We've done analyze the data of which taxpayers who are loyal paying tax and those who are not," he added.
His side also has verified the object and subject to be continued in the next step that is procedural summoning or active billing. The active billing could be done further up to confiscation and auction after the MoU is signed.
"Please remember that city Kejati also could do our job," he disclosed.
