City Keeps Boosting PBB Revenue

Jakarta Provincial Government keeps boosting the revenue of land and building tax (PBB). Until July 31, its revenue remains below 30 percent from initial target by Rp 8 trillion.

If the payment is late, the taxpayer will be fined

"The PBB revenue this year in 5 municipalities is Rp 8 trillion or 22.1 percent from local tax target,” said Agus Bambang Setiowidodo, Head of City Tax Service Department on the sidelines of the show of Urban and Rural Land and Building Tax (PBB P2), Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/12).

Gambir Tax Service Unit Needs to Boost Revenue Against Deadline

According to Setiowidodo, the revenue was supposed to reach 58.3 percent in the end of July. Nevertheless, he is optimistic it will rise sharply in the payment deadline, which falls on August 31.

Hence, he urges the taxpayer should pay off the tax payment on time.

"If the payment is late, the taxpayer will be fined. It is very important for the sustainability of the government wheel, infrastructure development, improvement and fulfillment of community social security, either health or education, for improving the welfare and comfort of Jakartans," he finished.
