Two Ministries Support City to Develop Tourism Sector

Jakarta Provincial Government will get help from Maritime Coordinating and Tourism Ministries to develop tourism sector in Jakarta.

Maritime Coordinating Minister, Rizal Ramli said although Jakarta has a lot of business potential in tourism sector, it does not has specific market as business tourism. "Every region should have a branding," he said, at the Maritime Ministry Office, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/19).

Determination of Jakarta as a business tourism destination is because Jakarta has become a strategic business for entrepreneurs around the world.

Jakpro Involved to Develop Seribu Islands' Tourism

Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) stated that he was happy with the assistance provided by two ministries. 

"We thank for the support. Our duty is simplifying permit processing. We will touch perit for hotel development. Whatever it is we will speed up," told Ahok.

Aside that, various supporting facilities for tourism development will also be built. They are like 7 corridors of Light Rapid Transit (LRT) which targeted to be complete in 2019.  

"We will build LRT until Bintaro," he told.

Ahok also continues to add Transjakarta bus and free bus.

To optimize it, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) will be involved in developing Seribu Islands.
