Jakpro Involved to Develop Seribu Islands' Tourism

Seribu Islands' tourism level is scheduled to be upgraded to International standard. This is because there are still lots of tour potential have not been developed. 

With Jakpro, we will develop tourism in Seribu Islands

To smoothen it, Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok’ T Purnama will involve PT Jakarta Propertindo to develop tourism sector in Seribu Islands.

“With Jakpro, we will develop tourism in Seribu Islands,” stated Ahok, after he held a meeting with Coordinating Maritime Minister, Rizal Ramli and Tourism Minister, Arief Yahya in BPPT building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/19).

Even, an airport would be built in Panjang Island. Actually, it was exist, but unoptimal and neglected.

Ahok disclosed that Seribu Islands' tourism potential would be made alike Singapore, Bangkok, Maldives, etc.

“We will make a reclamation in Panjang Island, like a villa. Thus the fisherman can enjoy it,” he voiced.

On the other hand, Jakpro also plans to cooperate with PLN and Pertamina for building a gas power plant (PLTG). Despite Panjang Island would have lots of villas, but its certificate remains belong to city administration.

Coordinating Maritime Minister, Rizal Ramli acknowledged the tour development in Seribu Islands is the mandate of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. It also gets full support from ministry.

Such airport construction planned to be assisted by central government. Its track would be expended from 800 m to 1,500 m, and equipped with ports. 

“After landing, the tourist can directly ride a yacht at Panjang Island's Dock. Certainly, the airport must have good power generation. They also urged not to damage coral reefs,” he finished.
