City Transportation Dept. to Crack Down Uber & Grab Car

Jakarta Transportation Department will take firm action against Uber and Grab Car. It is because they have no any operational license or illegal.

They have no any license yet permission

Meeting appointment have been conducted between City Transportation Department and City Police to discuss over Jakarta Land Transportation Organization (Organda)'s Regional Representatives Council (DPD) report related to personal transport applications service into public transport.

“We had a meeting yesterday (8/18). We agreed to crack down on their operational,”  said Head of City Transportation Department, Andri Yansyah, Thursday (8/20).

However, the service application of Uber and Grab Car until now has yet meet the requirement as public transportation in law No.22/2019 on Traffic and Land Transportation (LLAJ).

In conjunction with the matter, the businessman who running public transportation business associated in Organda (Jakarta Organization of Land Transportation Owners) feeling disturbed with the presence of illegal transportation service application which have ruin the regulation.

“I already give green light for them, but they neglect to comply the regulation,” he expressed.

On the other hand, Andri stated needed extra effort to curb application-based transport which currently rampant in Jakarta.

“They have no any license yet permission, especially Go-jek,” he disclosed.
