Relaying on Beritajakarta.com observation, trash covered in a 2 kilometer river with 5-8 meter width from Jembatan Jl Mangga Besar Raya to Taman Sari, West Jakarta.

Rusminah (58), residents of RW 02 Manggadua Selatan acknowledged it been two years never dredged.

“Since there is no trash cart provided, the residents take shortcut to throw irresponsibly,” he said, Friday (8/21).

However, as many illegal residential, stalls, chicken coop and illegal parking rampant on such road made the area looks so slum and dirty.

In conjunction with the matter, Head of Central Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department, Marsigit stated the cleaning is under City Cleanliness Department authority.
