Early january 2016, Elevated Railroad Groundbreaking Officially Conducted

The city administration is scheduled to conduct a groundbreaking of station and elevated railroad development in January 2016.

" We will conduct the elevated railroad groundbreaking in early January 2016 ," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), after closing Lebaran Betawi in Lapangan Banteng, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Sunday (8/23).

Ahok added the development also intended to support 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, in which such elevated train would be used to pick up Asian Games guests toward an athlete guesthouse in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

As reported before, such development was targeted to be complete in 2017 by spending Rp 700 billion for this year and Rp 1.5 trillion for next year. In its realization, land acquisition is not needed because of it will made elevated. At this time, the detail engineering design (DED) is still under process, likewise with its starting point by Transportation Ministry.
