Violating IMB, Four-Story House in Sawah Besar Demolished

A four-story house stood atop Jalan Rajawali Selatan 14 No. 5, Gunung Sahari Utara, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, torn down by officers.

In accordance with building permit (IMB), the building must have 3 floors, but it was built with 4 floors. No tolerance

"In accordance with building permit (IMB), the building must have 3 floors, but it was built with 4 floors. No tolerance," stated Control Section Head of Central Jakarta Urban Planning Sub-Department, Ki Hajar Bonang, Monday (8/24).

According to Bonang, warning letter had been sent to the owner. "But it was ignored. That is why, the building demolished forcibly," he uttered.

Illegal Buildings and Stalls in Penjaringan Controlled

First warning letter with number 183, he continued, was sent on May 20 and sealing letter number 176 on May 29. "And for demolition letter with number 169 was sent on June 17," he told.

Such demolishment was done by 25 joint personnel from Satpol PP, urban village, sub-district, Urban Planning Sub-Department, Military and Police.
