12 Illegal Buildings in North Jakarta Dismantled

As much as 12 illegal buildings which standing on Jalan Sindang Terusan, Rawa Budak Utara, North Jakarta, demolished by officers.
The demolition is in accordance with the procedure
"The illegal buildings make the Sunter Riverbank looks dirty. That's why, we demolish them," told Iyan Sophian Hadi, Head of North Jakarta Satpol PP, Wednesday (8/12).

Hadi said his side had sent warning letter to the owners, but they ignored it and still let their buildings stand.

The demolition is in accordance with the procedure ," he said.
Hadi added, the building is violated the Bylaw No. 8/2007 on Public Order.
"Yes, the buildings violated the rule because they were built on Sunter Riverbank and generate trash from their sales of food, tobacco and beverages," he uttered.
As many as 30 joint personnel from Satpol PP and Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers were deployed in the operation.
"We seize the building materials so they can't build buildings anymore. We will also deploy officer to patrol around the location," he explained.
