City Hall, Monday (8/24).
According to him, Jakarta can
learn from Rotterdam in handling flood and island reclamation. “No need to through
the trial and error phase,” he uttered.
“They have applied the latest
technology. They built Suez phase 2 waterway, they expert about it,” he
asserted.
Rotterdam Mayor, Ahmed Aboutaleb emphasized his side has been dealing with flood for 400 years. “It takes a long
time to deal and solve flood. We can’t say it is an easy matter, long
term process,” he expressed.
Aboutaleb added, City
Administration cannot handle this alone, there must be supporting elements . “Need
supporting elements to do this together,” he disclosed.
