Basuki Asked City Police to Lead Relocation Process

Jakarta Governor, Basuki "Ahok" T Purnama wants the City Police to lead relocation process against citizens along Ciliwung River.

Ahok also asked them to send the intelligent police team to map real condition in the field for minimizing clash.

"Certainly, illegal buildings in Bidara Cina and Bukit Duri must be controlled for waterway,” he asserted.

Chief of City Police, Sr. Comr. Tito Karnavian acknowledged the mapping is still being conducted in clash-prone areas that will help the city administration in taking a policy. “We’re mapping and making strategy how to tackle. We have some data,” he uttered.

Along with City Police, the government also formulates five orderly programs which have been proposed some time ago. They are residential, trash, demonstrations, street vendors, and traffic.

Moreover, it is a part of 17 orderly programs which proposed by the police and army, in order to speed up and strengthen security in the capital.

"Well, we find a gap how to help the governor. There are some examples, such as residential orderly, we will form a team to investigate the possibility of improper designation," he said.
