233 Honorary Teachers Promoted to Be Civil Servants Candidates

Jakarta Provincial Government inaugurated 233 honorary employees from nine Regional Working Units (SKPD) to be the civil servant.

Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama (Ahok) asked the employee to work diligently. "Throw away your laziness. Work diligently," said Basuki during the inauguration at City Hall, Tuesday (8/25).

He uttered that civil servants will get administration sanction up to sacking if they work under standard, cheating, and involved in a bribery.

5,416 Honorary Teachers will Be Appointed as Civil Servant Candidate

There are 4,602 honorary employees in Jakarta, but only 233 employees passed the selection. The rest, 4,369 category II of honorary employees, are still waiting for NIP determination.

"Don't cheat with us, your money will not smooth your way working as civil servant," Basuki added.

Those 233 honorary employees came from Mental and Spiritual Education Bureau (1 person), Dept. of Maritime and Agriculture (3 people), Dept. of Health (4 people), Dept. of Sport and Youth (1 person), Dept of Education (207), West Jakarta Secretariat (4), Central Jakarta Secretariat (2), North Jakarta Secretariat (10), and Seribu ISland Secretariat (1).

Agus Suradika, Jakarta Head of Regional Working Board, added his side keeps accelerating the inauguration process. It is planned to issue SK for honorary employee every week.

"We'll issue SK weekly for them," he said.
