Drainage on Jalan Tentara Pelajar Cleaned

Infrastructure and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers cleaned drainage along Jalan Tentara Pelajar, Gelora Urban Village, Tanah Abang, Wednesday (8/26). The drainage often clogged because lacks of citizens’ awareness who still throw trash recklessly.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com report, dozens of PPSU officers seen picking up trash dominated by bottle and plastic. Some others were seen cleaning grass and thatch around drainage.
Head of Gelora Urban Village, Ferry Abdillah said, this activity was intended to free drainage from trash so not trigger flooding in rainy season.

Moreover, the officers also trimmed shady trees which covered drainage.
"We also perform nail sweeping along the road and found some of 1.5 inch nails in this operation," he explained.
