Ahead of Idul Adha, a number of sacrificial animal traders are scheduled to undergo socialization about trading ban on sidewalks and roadsides, especially in Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta.

The ban is based on Governor Instruction No. 67/2014 on Control of Animal Shelter and Slaughterhouse.

According to Hidayatullah, Head of Tanah Abang Sub-District, goat traders in Tanah Abang area would be socialized to sell on Jalan Stainless (near Karet Sluice Gate) and in Goat Market, Jalan Sabeni.

"Jalan Mas Mansyur was crowded last year. That's why we give socialization," he expressed.

The goat trader is generally living around Tanah Abang who has a tradition in selling goat. But trading on the sidewalk violates the Bylaw No. 8/2007 on Public Order.
