Jakarta Provincial Government intends to provide double-decker bus from Monas towards Tanah Abang.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama stated the bus is provided to encourage citizens shopping to Tanah Abang by not using private vehicles.

" We design Tanah Abang to be crowded by citizens who want to go shopping but no need to use private vehicles as it would make the area getting congested ," said Ahok, Tuesday (9/1). 

Eventually, he continued, they only need to pay the bus once. And the tickets will be made weekly, monthly, and annual. The parking fare in Tanah Abang will also be increased. 

"We will increase parking fare as expensive as possible, and those vehicles which are parked illegally will be towed instantly," he asserted.
